Milton, currently over the southwest Gulf of Mexico, as it intensifies and begins to track east northeast across the Gulf toward the Florida West Coast the next several days. Milton has the potential to be the strongest hurricane to make landfall on the West Central Florida coast since 1921. Stay tuned to NWS Tampa Bay and the National Hurricane Center.
