Began as light rain at 8:20 PM. At 9:12 pea size hail began. Heavy rain with little hail at 9:15 PM. At 9:22 1/2" hail for 3 minutes reducing to 1/4" hail at 9:26 PM.At 9:34 heavy rain, lightning and light hail. At 9:44 big hail agin for 2 minutes with much lightning. AT 9:48 heavy rain and hail continuing. AT 9:53 lighter rain, some hail. At 9:55 rain and bouncing 1/4" hail. At 10:05 PM the rain became light, still much lightning. Light rain continued. Don't know when it stopped. Total collected rain was 2.28 inches. Big washes of mulch, sand and gutters were greatly overloaded during downpours. Destroyed tomato plants, flowers and shredded leaves from trees. Pictures available during hail storm and remaining in morning at 5:00 AM. |
