***THIS HAIL REPORT WAS *NOT* TAKEN AT WESTMONT 1.1W PA*** It is for POCONO LAKE PA in Monroe County.
I am vacationing in *Pocono Lake PA* and had a wicked hail storm at 2:30pm yesterday (8/10/2008). Largest stone was over 1.5" in diameter and that was 30 minutes after the storm hit so it was probably closer to golf ball size (1.75") when it fell. Several large hail stones were preserved. Hail covered the ground and the larger stones remained for 1 to 2 hours after the storm. |
