hail pad was too weathered to read. Captured one of the larger hailstones, ~1cm in diameter, a truncated sphere, with a flat side at 2/3 diameter. Weight=.4 grams on a triple beam scale. Very hard ice, clear to white in color. The accompanying rain was unusually large drops, indicative of a lot of updraft. |
