Notes: |
No green in clouds at all- not threatenting, no lightning, just some thunder at a distance. Hail was a complete surprise, strong South winds drove the hail into the barn, making a real racket and making the horses crazy. The rain began about 2 minutes into the hail. It lasted about 15 minutes, long enough for me to run to the house, then the rain hit again. Very large drops. The flowers in my garden took the brunt of it. Petals stripped and beat up. As I got closer to Wray, I could tell we got the tail end of a pretty serious storm. Lots of branches and leaves down, puddles standing. But- Any moisture is good moisture in the Sand Hills!! |
